The Delhi Police have successfully apprehended the suspect behind the tragic murder of an IRS officer’s daughter, an investigation that required meticulous coordination and a deep dive into local surveillance networks. The victim, identified as 28-year-old Sneha Meena, was found dead in her North Delhi residence earlier this week, sparking a high-priority manhunt across the capital.
The Investigation: A 48-Hour Operation
Following the discovery of the body, the Delhi Police formed 15 specialized teams to track the suspect, Rahul Meena. Investigators faced an immediate challenge as the perpetrator had attempted to evade capture by switching transportation methods several times. However, the breakthrough came through a exhaustive review of over 100 CCTV cameras located along the escape route.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), the breakthrough occurred when footage showed the suspect boarding an auto-rickshaw near the victim’s home. “Our teams worked around the clock, tracing the auto-rickshaw’s movement through several neighborhoods,” the officer stated. By interviewing the driver, police were able to pinpoint the suspect’s drop-off location near a major transit hub.

Rahul Meena was eventually cornered and arrested in a predawn raid on Wednesday. Preliminary investigations suggest the motive was linked to a personal dispute that escalated into violence.
