Vedic Rituals Honor Adi Shankaracharya
The day began with temple priests performing the Maha Ganapati puja, a traditional commencement ritual intended to remove obstacles and ensure the smooth carrying out of the day’s ceremonies. Following the initial prayers, a series of special abhishekams were performed. These sacred baths, involving precious offerings like honey, milk, and sandalwood, were offered to the presiding deities amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns.
