South Korea’s ‘World Climate Cities Forum’ recently served as a global stage for Andhra Pradesh to showcase its aggressive transition toward sustainable energy. During the international conference, Divakar Reddy, Chairman of the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA), detailed the state’s ambitious roadmap to becoming a premier international destination for green technology and renewable resources.

In his address to global delegates, Chairman Reddy emphasized that the state government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, is prioritizing a shift away from traditional fossil fuels. The strategic objective is to transform Andhra Pradesh into a “global clean energy hub,” attracting international investment while significantly reducing carbon emissions across its urban centers. This vision aligns with global efforts to mitigate the impacts of climate change through localized, state-led initiatives.
Reddy highlighted that the state is not merely adopting existing technologies but is actively creating an environment conducive to innovation in wind, solar, and hydro-power sectors. By integrating these systems into the urban fabric of cities like Tirupati, the government aims to create a blueprint for sustainable development that other regions can emulate.
