A horrific road accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur district has claimed the lives of 11 people after a speeding truck collided with multiple vehicles late Thursday night. The multi-vehicle pile-up, which occurred near the Mirzapur-Aurai road, resulted in a catastrophic fire that trapped several victims inside their vehicles.

According to eyewitness accounts and local law enforcement, the incident began when a heavy-duty truck lost control and rammed into a Bolero SUV and several other smaller vehicles. The impact was so severe that the Bolero immediately caught fire, giving the occupants little time to escape. Local residents rushed to the scene to attempt a rescue, but the intensity of the flames hindered initial efforts until the fire brigade arrived.
Police officials confirmed that 11 individuals were declared dead at the scene or shortly after arriving at the hospital. Several others sustained critical injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at a nearby medical facility. The identities of the deceased are being verified, though many are believed to be local residents returning from worker-related duties or family events.
