The initiative seeks to provide immediate relief to commuters and pedestrians who are exposed to direct sunlight during the peak hours of the day.
As part of this corporate social responsibility (CSR) effort, CMC has committed to the installation of green net shades at major traffic intersections throughout the city. These structures are specifically designed to filter UV rays and lower the ambient temperature for motorcyclists and pedestrians waiting at red lights, who often face the brunt of the heat-island effect in urban corridors.

The City Health Officer officially recognized the contribution of the institution, expressing sincere appreciation for the partnership between CMC and the Vellore City Municipal Corporation.
