During his unannounced visit, the Minister personally evaluated the diagnostic infrastructure and the accessibility of essential services provided to the public.
Evaluating Maternal Health and Patient Care
The Minister prioritized the well-being of the most vulnerable patients, spending significant time in the mother and child ward. He interacted directly with new mothers to gauge their satisfaction with the hospital’s postnatal care. A key focus of these discussions was the “NTR Thalli-Bidda Express,” a dedicated transport service for recently delivered women. Minister Satya Kumar inquired whether families were receiving the necessary support to return home safely and whether hospital staff were maintaining professional standards.
In addition to patient feedback, the Minister scrutinized the hospital’s core infrastructure. He inspected the local blood bank and diagnostic laboratories to ensure that critical testing equipment was operational and that hygiene protocols were being strictly followed across all clinical areas.
Addressing Shortages and Operational Challenges
Following the walkthrough, Minister Satya Kumar held a detailed briefing with the hospital’s medical superintendent and senior administrative staff. The discussions centered on identifying immediate gaps in service delivery, including staff shortages and equipment maintenance requirements.
