In a significant achievement for the region’s education sector, Annamayya district has emerged as the frontrunner in the Rayalaseema zone following the announcement of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination results. District Collector Sridhar Chamakuri lauded the performance of the students, noting that the district achieved a commendable pass percentage of 91.24%.
Success Across Private and Government Institutions
The District Collector highlighted that the success was widespread across various educational frameworks. Out of the 13,322 students who appeared for the board examinations, 12,152 successfully qualified. A notable highlight of the results was the performance of individual schools; approximately 88 institutions within the district achieved a perfect 100% pass rate, demonstrating a high standard of academic excellence.
The breakdown of the results revealed that private schools led the way with a 98% pass rate. However, government-run institutions also showed strong performance. Municipal schools recorded an 88% success rate, while Mandal Parishad schools followed closely at 81.33%. These figures underscore a balanced academic improvement across both urban and rural educational centers.
Special Recognition for Tribal and Social Welfare Schools
Specific attention was given to the performance of residential and welfare schools. Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and AP Residential Schools both achieved a stellar 100% pass rate. Furthermore, BC Welfare schools maintained a high standard with a 98% success rate, followed by AP Model Schools at 95% and Social Welfare schools at 81.33%.
Collaborative Efforts and Future Motivation
Collector Chamakuri attributed this milestone to the collective hard work of students, the dedication of teachers, and the persistent monitoring by the district education department. He emphasized that these results place Annamayya district at the top of the Rayalaseema region and secured the 11th position across the entire state of Andhra Pradesh.
The administration has extended its congratulations to the successful candidates and urged teachers to continue their efforts to further improve these statistics in the coming academic years. Special counseling sessions and honorary mentions are expected for the top-performing students and heads of institutions that achieved the “zero-failure” mark.
