In a major crackdown on illegal gambling, law enforcement officials in Guntur have dismantled two separate cricket betting syndicates operating during the current IPL season. The proactive operations, carried out by the Guntur district police, resulted in the apprehension of 15 individuals allegedly involved in organizing and facilitating illicit wagering activities.

Acting on precise intelligence regarding illegal bookmaking, special police teams launched simultaneous raids across multiple locations within the city. The first operation targeted a residence where several individuals were caught red-handed using sophisticated electronic equipment to track live match odds and manage bets from numerous clients. Police officials stated that the organizers were utilizing specialized software to bypass traditional detection methods.
In the second raid, conducted in a different neighborhood, authorities uncovered a similar setup. This group was reportedly catering to a large network of local punters, handling significant transaction volumes during high-stakes IPL fixtures.
