Local authorities confirmed that the woman, who was unmarried, allegedly killed her newborn child before discarding the body within the factory’s restroom facilities.

The grim discovery was made early Monday morning when housekeeping staff at the Foxconn unit, located in the Devanahalli area on the outskirts of Bengaluru, noticed a blockage in the drainage system. Upon further investigation, the body of a newborn was recovered from the toilet area. According to preliminary reports from the investigators, the woman had managed to conceal her pregnancy from her colleagues and supervisors.
