The Siddipet court recently adjudicated a series of cases involving motorists apprehended during special enforcement drives. A total of 33 individuals were found guilty of drunk driving, resulting in a collective fine of ₹3.34 lakh. The severity of the fines reflects the judiciary’s commitment to curbing alcohol-related accidents, which remain a primary concern for local law enforcement.
According to officials, the motorists were caught during various checkpoints set up across the district. Breathalyzer tests confirmed blood alcohol levels well above the legal limit, prompting immediate legal action. Stricter Enforcement Beyond Intoxication

Specifically, seven motorists were penalized for driving without valid licenses. These individuals were collectively fined ₹35,000, bringing the total amount collected from both operations to nearly ₹3.7 lakh.
