The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has officially set its sights on Nellore for the upcoming Mahanadu, the party’s primary annual conclave. Senior leadership and local officials have begun an intensive search for a venue capable of hosting the massive influx of party cadres and supporters expected to participate in the prestigious event.
Site Inspections and Logistical Planning
On Wednesday, a high-level committee consisting of state ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) conducted a comprehensive survey of several potential locations. The focus of the inspection remained on the outskirts of the city to ensure sufficient space and ease of access for the thousands of delegates anticipated to attend.
The delegation meticulously evaluated sites situated near the IFFCO Kisan Special Economic Zone (SEZ), as well as open plots along Podalakur Road and the Golagamudi Road junction. These areas are being prioritized due to their expansive terrain and connectivity to major transport routes, which are critical for managing the logistical challenges of such a large-scale political assembly.
Evaluating Infrastructure and Safety
During the visit, leaders emphasized the importance of site suitability, focusing on factors such as ground stability, parking capacity for heavy vehicles, and the ability to set up massive temporary structures. Public safety and the management of traffic flow in and out of Nellore were also central themes of the discussion among the TDP representatives.
