Khammam Police Commissioner has issued a firm directive to all subordinate officers, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of disruption. Law enforcement personnel have been instructed to take swift and decisive legal action against individuals or groups found damaging public transport vehicles or government-owned infrastructure. The directive comes amid concerns that the transition to temporary staffing could lead to localized tensions or attempts to obstruct bus services.
The increased surveillance is not limited to Khammam; security cordons have been tightened at various key transit hubs across the region.
