Chikmagalur
Chikmagalur is a calm, serene town full of scenic surprises hills,
valleys, streams and snow-white coffee blossoms. Chikmagalur, a
famous coffee town of Karnataka, is located at a height of over 1900
metres, 250 km from Bangalore. Chikmagalur boasts a pretty Hoysala
temple -- the Kodandarama temple. The famous temple towns of Halebid
and Belur are also located close to Chikmagalur. This hillside
getaway also offers visitors an opportunity to be one with nature,
by visiting the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, taking picnics to the
picturesque Kemmanagundi and Bababudangiri hills or just trekking
around the region.
